Fantasy and Science Fiction April 2002

An enjoyable collection, with Friesner, Disch, Bowman and Dozois providing some entertaining if not substantial fare. Williamson and Thomas provide some good fiction, the Finlay story is stretched just a bit too far to have really held my attention, but the Friesner is a little gem.

Otherworldly Maine. ed Noreen Doyle, Down East 2008

The collection successfully brings together a litte bit of sf, a lot of speculative fiction, fantasy, horror and thrillers, but which all work together and which don’t leap out as being stories of that ilk, but simply good stories with a shared setting.
