Jason K. Chapman. The Long Happy Death of Oxford Brown. (Asimovs February 2014)
A story that has a retro feel to in a variety of ways, not always good.
Reviewing short SF since 2000
A story that has a retro feel to in a variety of ways, not always good.
A second excellent story from Chapman in a couple of months.
The best SF explores the human condition, and one of the trickiest elements of the human condition to successfully explore is love. Chapman does this in a great story.
