Anders’ trio of stories have stood out from the others, with her tale of a near-future apocalypse as seen through some gonzo film makers not easily confused with the other stories in the volumes!
Some nice touches in the story, with a strong focus on the superhero and his internal as well as external challenges.
A high-octane pell-mell rush through schooldays/daze with the background about just how society in the USA is struggling clearly leading to the apocalypse the anthology promises, with a lot of inventiveness.
Time travel but through the lens of an individual part of a time-travellers ‘self help’ group. Truth be told I struggled to engage with the story, unable to make a connection to either the characters or the narrative.
A clever idea, handled well, as we follow a relationship to see what might be/which has happened plays out…
An entertaining, light piece with a nod to Golden Age SF.
