Fairly routine scientist fiction, more of an Analog than an Asimovs story to my mind.
As ever, a strong collection of stories, albeit fairly ‘safe’ in terms of a relatively narrow range of sources.
Cooper’s tone is just right, not too mawkish, and it leaves the reader/listener to ponder some big questions.
The Goldstein and Rusch stories start and finish the issue strongly, with the other stories being good without being great. Other stories by Crowell, Cooper, Steinmetz, Oltion, Resnick, Robyn, Tem.
