Benjanun Sriduangkaew. That Which Stands Tends Toward Free Fall. (Clarkesworld Magazine #113, February 2016)
A top notch bit of writing.
Reviewing short SF since 2000
Sriduangkaew is one of the few authors whose authorship of a story you can guess just from reading it.
A complex, psychological take on a future conflict.
I made several attempts to get into this story, but it’s not an easy read, with the language too complex for my liking.
Sriduangkaew gets the anthology off to a strong start, with a story focussing on two women and the relationship between them during an ‘unwar’ which attacks civilians’ neural networks.
